SuJu 'King of Hallyu Wave' celebrates 15th debut anniversary

The legendary K-pop group Super Junior - dubbed as the "King of Hallyu Wave" celebrated their 15th debut anniversary with a new song and a special live streaming session via Vlive with ELFs (Ever Lasting Friend) - official fandom, afternoon today, November 6, 2020.


"Something impossible happened. We made it through 15 years. Pushing through and not giving up has brought us here," Leeteuk, leader of the band, posted on Instagram.


Eunhyuk, one of members, also thanked the fans and his fellow members for sticking together throughout the years.


He added that for fifteen years, its hard to count the memories they have built together and looking back on how young and reckless they once were just makes him tear up.


Their new song "The Melody" was released today at 6 p.m. KST (5 p.m. Philippine Standard Time).


"The Melody" is a prerelease track of their upcoming 10th full-length album expected to drop next month.


The veteran K-pop group debuted last Nov. 6, 2005, with their first album "Twins" and has since been active on the K-pop scene as one of the most popular boy bands in Korea.


Among the recognitions they have earned are thirteen music awards from the Mnet Asian Music Awards and nineteen from the Golden Disc Awards.


Super Junior was known for their songs "Sorry, Sorry", "Mamacita", "Sexy, Free, and Single", among the many.
