ABS-CBN brightens Christmas month with station ID that speaks of 'Liwanag at Ligaya'

ABS-CBN’s “Ikaw Ang Liwanag at Ligaya” became a collective prayer for all Kapamilyas across the globe as message of love, light and happiness was conveyed by both the official music video and lyrics of the station ID released today, December 1.

After being tested by tragedies one after another, the station's Christmas treat was love-binded and spoke of how every journey starts with darkness but ends with light, complimented with joy.

The official video showcased heart-clenching stories from typical Filipino's that have stayed steadfast amid all trials.

Last Friday, November 27, the lyric video of the Christmas ID was launched in the network’s YouTube channel and the day after, Robert Labayen, the head of ABS-CBN’s Integrated Creative Communications Management (CCM), said that the feedback they received from the public was “unprecedented”, considering that their current entry have reached the level of one of the network’s most beloved jingles in the past.

Twenty Kapamilya singers, including KZ Tandingan, Couples Regine Velasques and Ogie Alcasid, Gary Valenciano and Sarah Geronimo, have collaborated to perform the song which was written by Robert Labayen and Love Rose De Leon and composed by Thyro Alfaro.

Among the artists featured in the video were loveteams JaDine, KathNeil and LizQuen, along with Bea Alonzo, Coco Martin, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis and some of ABS-CBN's core workforces, Charo Santos- Concio and Carlo Katigbak.

The total viewership on all the lyric video have reached past 8 million within a day – 6 million of it from Facebook.
