Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) 2020 Rabiya Mateo and 2nd runner-up Michele Gumabao flashed smiles beside each other, appearing to be on good terms as they participated in a relief program yesterday, November 3, 2020, after the controversial inauguration night of the pageant.
As their second activity together after the pageant in Baguio Country Club, Mateo and Gumabao with the other top five MUP 2020 candidates, took part in a relief operation to help the victims of Typhoon Rolly in Bicol.
According to Mateo, they helped repack thousands of sacks of rice and canned goods under Frontrow Cares – the charity arm of Frontrow International.
During the activity, Mateo and Gumabao was seen speaking with each other as they bundled goods.
In an instagram story by Frontrow President, Raymond Francisco, Mateo and Gumabao were seen flashing smiles beside each other.
This activity happened after Gumabao released a video speaking up about the controversies that came to her after the MUP 2020 pageant coronation.
In the video, Gumabao said that “I heard things I never should have heard, witnessed things I never should have witnessed as a candidate.”
However, Gumabao didn’t give further details regarding her statement.
Gumabao clarified though that she has congratulated Rabiya Mateo for winning the crown and received a “Thank you” from the latter.
