'Blinks' are in for a treat as a more intimate and never-before-seen behind the scenes documentary of the K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK, is set to release on Netflix tomorrow, October 14, 2020.
According to Jennie Kim, "Blackpink: Light Up the Sky" was their way to become closer to their fans and the general public.
The documentary will include Blackpink's performance at the Coachella Music Festival in the United States and the group's childhood and trainee years.
Filmmaker, Caroline Suh, combined home videos, behind the scenes footage and candid interviews to dig deeper on each of the member's life story.
"I hope that the film humanises the BLACKPINK members so they are seen as more three-dimensional and not as kind of one dimesional K-pop stars and idols." said Suh.
BLACKPINK is the group behind the international hits "How You Like That" and "Kill This Love" under YG Entertainment, home of the powerhouse K-pop groups BingBang, 2NE1, Winner and many more.
