Multiple US Media cuts live coverage of Trump's address due to bogus claims

Multiple media companies from the US cut their live coverage of incumbent US President Donald Trump's press conference at the White House in Washington DC today, November 6, 2020 (November 5 in the US) due to bogus and dangerous claims regarding the US 2020 elections.

Among the media companies who opted to stop their coverage were the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) News, Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) Inc., USA Today, and MSNBC.

As late vote counting in battleground states showed Democrat representative, Joe Biden closing in on victory, Trump insisted in his address that Democrats were using 'illegal votes' to 'steal the election'.

MSNBC cable network interrupted Trump’s address with news anchor Brian Williams saying, “Here we are again in the unusual position of not only interrupting the President of the United States but correcting the President of the United States."

ABC and NBC News did the same, even USA Today stopped their livestream and removed the video from all of their platforms.

CNN carried out Trump's entire speech however, they showcased banners warning vieweing about Trump's lies.

"What a sad night for the country." CNN's Chief Washington Correspondent Jake Tapper said while claiming it as "pathetic".

CNN immediately followed up with fact-checks, corrections and appropriately harsh language.

"That is the most powerful person in the world, and we see him like an obese turtle on his back flailing in the hot sun, realizing his time is over, but he just hasn’t accepted it and he wants to take everyone down with him, including this country." says CNN news broadcast anchor Anderson Cooper.
