The pandemic and quarantine have been going for almost 8 months now and businesses are struggling to stay open that has resulted to the lost of jobs of many people.
Continuing with the days, Meralco’s electricity rates have risen by P0.1212 per kWh for the month of October which totals an increase of P24 to the bills of residential clients who are consuming 200 kWh per month.
COVID-19 has taken a huge toll on the country’s economy to the point where several large plants have been forced to stop, making its supplies limited.
The supply conditions have been tightened and natural gases have been restricted especially in Luzon which has caused Meralco to increase the electricity rates from P4.0860 kWh in September to P4.2233 per kWh this October.
