Incumbent CNU Communicators Club Mayor earns another position

Kaiser Jan Fuentes, a third-year Communication student in Cebu Normal University, is the newly elected president of the Cebu Federation of Journalism and Communication students for the Academic Year 2020 – 2021 proclaimed yesterday, October 3, 2020.

According to him, “Sila nagyud mismo ang mu push nimo so flattering siya as well as na challenge ko,” as the other members started to nominate and vote for him during the elections.

Fuentes did not have any plans on becoming an officer beforehand because he was already the incumbent Communicators Club Mayor in CNU and given the current nature of learning today, he wanted to keep himself paced on his studies. However, days before the election, some members of the federation has already made him aware about the possibility of being the next president and so, he is now. When asked about his plans, Kaiser replied that he will continue to conduct webinars for students online.

“Ipadayon gihapon namo ang pag give ug talks from experts to students. We will hear directly from the experts or from those who are working in the field and, ganahan sad ko mag set-up ug mga webinars, not only focusing sa Journalism but also to essential things like HIV awareness.” He added.

Besides Fuentes, Harold Regodos, the current Junior Broadcasters’ Alliance Mayor was also elected as the new Secretary of the organization.
