Female drug pusher arrested; P6.9M worth of illegal drugs confiscated

A P6.9M worth of illegal drugs was seized during a buy-bust operation where a female pusher was arrested and suspected to have ties with someone inside the Cebu City Jail.

The said pusher was identified by operatives from the Cebu City Police's Intelligence Branch Office (CCPO-CIB) with agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) as Jeaneth Gadiane Abayan whose husband, Graham Abayan, is detained at the Cebu City Jail in Barangay Kalunasan for drug charges.

Jeaneth was arrested today, November 19, 2020, along Camia Street in Barangay Tisa. She was also reported as a high-valued target (HVT) and has the capacity to dispose around one to two kilograms of shabu per week from a certain inmate in the Cebu City Jail under the moniker 'Balo'.

The drugs, weighing a total of 1.02 kilograms, with estimated value of P6.9 million, were seized from Abayan, who is 33 years old and a resident of Barangay Duljo Fatima.

Abayan is now charged in violating Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs), Article II of the Republic Act 9165.
