"Don't be sorry 'nak" - Teacher to student

A teacher from Santiago City, Isabela went viral after giving a set of crayon to a student who could not afford one. Velcher Castillo posted on his social media yesterday, October 16, 2020, the heart breaking story of his student who had to label the drawing in the module by color because he could not afford to buy crayons.

Along with the module was a note from the student that says: "Sir, wala po akong pambili ng krayola. Sorry po."

Castillo was touched that the student still found a way to accomplish the activity despite the lack of resources and so he gave his student a set of crayons along with a note.

"Don’t be sorry, 'nak. I understand you. Here's a box of crayons for you. Keep up the good work! See you when this pandemic finally ends. God bless and stay safe." wrote Castillo.

Castillo also encouraged the students who are struggling to cope with the new learning situation due to the pandemic to be courageous and strong.

"Para sa bawat estudyante, isang mahigpit na yakap. Kapit lang. Laban lang. Tuloy lang. Magkikita kita muli tayo. Know that your efforts are valid and appreciated. Kahit na at kahit pa." he said.
