Mayor Edgar Labella issued an executive order allowing the return of traditional jeepneys in Cebu City and reopening at least 18 routes.
The areas being sighted by the Cebu City Task Force are those where more passengers especially workers reside, distributing the right number of units for each.
With a 1,355 PUJs in total, 233 units will be in service at Barangay Guadalupe, Barangay Lahug will get 146 units, Tisa will get 145 units, Basak San Nicholas with 135 units, Mambaling with 123 units, Talamban with 122 units, Inayawan with 116 units, Bulacao with 116 units, and Kalunasan with 92 units.
Here are the routes where jeepneys will be allowed to ply:

The drivers of the said units are required to undergo swab testing and must strictly get negative results.
They are also told to attend the CCTO orientation and training seminar.
Passengers are also obliged to follow the mandates health protocols such as; the one-seat apart policy, proper wearing of face mask and face shield and paying exact fare before riding.
If the jeepney operators have already complied all the guidelines, they will then be allowed to ply the streets again.
