An unanticipated news startled the netizens after the ABS-CBN News and the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) on YouTube were unavailable Tuesday morning, November 3.
"Video unavailable. This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated." This was the message shown upon accessing the page.
ABS-CBN were quick to attest the issue, just as numerous netizens asked about what happened to its news platform on YouTube.
"We are aware of the problem of accessing ABS-CBN News channel on YouTube. We are currently investigating this and working closely with YouTube to resolve the problem." ABS-CBN said in a statement.
"In the meantime, you can catch our livestreams and news reports on the TeleRadyo Channel. Thank you for your patience and understanding." the network added.
As of 3:58 PM today, the two news channels have already been restored after being temporarily suspended at exactly 6:30 AM this morning due to a hacking incident.
YouTube assured the network to continue the investigation and implement measures in order to prevent the incident from happening again.
The media giant promised the public to stay committed in providing news and information to our countrymen as we deal with several weather disturbances in the country.
